greening of road safety
In
2009 South Australia will be releasing a new resource for primary schools
that links road safety to the heath and environmental benefits of active
travel. Other states have made road safety links to other areas of the
curriculum. The workshop will discuss:

Summary
Improved
speed enforcement is a focus of the National Road Safety Action Plan 2007
and 2008, as a key element within a comprehensive strategy designed to
reduce casualties on Australian roads. This is supported by the generally
accepted view that increasing the enforcement effort correlates with
greater compliance translating to casualty reductions. This workshop will
facilitate information sharing across a range of enforcement related
activities that have proven or are likely to have a positive influence on
road safety.
